Our hotel lies in the countryside, on the quiet, yet centrally located, Horw peninsula, with mini-golf and tennis nearby. Here you can really switch off and relax. Enjoy the view ot the beautiful central swiss mountains or a 15 minute walk to lake Lucerne.
Lucerne town centre is only 4 km (2½ miles) away and can be easily reached directly within 15 minutes on the no. 21 bus which stops just in front of the hotel.
Sightseeing in Lucerne: Be amazed by the Kapellbrücke, the Lucerne old town and its historic buildings. Astonish yourself in Glacial Garden and the famous Lion Monument. The Swiss National Transport Museum offers an interesting insight into the past and present of public transport and communication.
Enjoy a trip up Mount Pilatus, Stanserhorn, Mount Rigi or Bürgenstock. You will be fascinated by the unbelievable beauty of the view on offer.
Arriving from north or south. Take the Highwayexit Luzern-Horw. At the exit-roundabout take the exit KRIENS. At the following roundabout take the third exit direction HORW. At the third roundabout take the exit HORW. At the fourth roundabout take the exit KASTANIENBAUM. You will find our hotel after about 1.5 km on the left hand side.
The hotel is situated on the Horw-Kastanienbaum Road, about 4 km from Lucerne, at the foot of the Pilatus 2132 m (approx. 7000 feet).
Only 40 minutes to Engelberg and the Titlis 3020 m (approx. 10 000 feet).
By train: with the SBB until the main railway station in Lucerne, from there, take the bus 21 direction Horw/Kastanienbaum.
By car: motorway N2 via Lucerne til the exit "Lucerne Sud/Horw", then continue direction Horw/Kastanienbaum. Large parking area available also for coaches.
