The gateway to the Bernese Oberland, Thun is easily reached by public transport. With rail connections from all corners of Switzerland, the Hotel Freienhof is 5-10 minutes on foot from the railway station, whilst Thun is only 20 minutes from Bern by car. Our garage has parking for up to 60 cars.
From Berne or Zurich Airport: Highway to Bern, follow the signs to Interlaken Highway A6. Take the Thun exit north exit and then drive towards the centre. Follow the Brown signs for Hotel Freienhof.
From Interlaken: Take the Thun exit north exit and then drive towards the centre. Follow the brown signs for Hotel Freienhof. The hotel is centrally located on the River Aare.
From Berne by train: take the train in the direction on Interlaken - Thun. At the train station, go in the direction of old town and follow the signs for the Hotel Freienhof.
