The vast Alex lounge-bar with its niches 'Highlander' and 'Scottish Corner'is the right place to enjoy the impressive choice of single malt whiskys and cigars.

Centrally located - two minutes from the station - absolutely quiet - marvellous view on the mountains - three minutes from the Gornergrat cable-car and from the skibus which goes to the stations Sunnegga and Klein Matterhorn

Zermatt is a car-free resort. Access for private transport is only allowed as far as Tasch (5 km from Zermatt). The road from Täsch to Zermatt is not open to public transport. There are open-air public car parks (1,800 spaces) and covered private car parks (1,300 spaces) in Tasch. The covered car parks also have outside parking spaces and operate a taxi service to and from Zermatt. Shuttle trains run every 20 minutes. There is a car park with free parking for 100 cars in Visp (27km from Zermatt) for people travelling by train from here to Zermatt.
