Christiania hotels occupies a privileged position: a stone's throw from the Sunnegga station, close to the village center and the Gornergrat station, and near the sports facilities. The Hotel Christiania and Garni Christiania are both 4 star hotels with the same standard and equipment.
Zermatt is a car-free resort. Access for private transport is only allowed as far as Tasch (5 km from Zermatt). The road from Täsch to Zermatt is not open to public transport. There are open-air public car parks (1,800 spaces) and covered private car parks (1,300 spaces) in Tasch. The covered car parks also have outside parking spaces and operate a taxi service to and from Zermatt. Shuttle trains run every 20 minutes. There is a car park with free parking for 100 cars in Visp (27km from Zermatt) for people travelling by train from here to Zermatt.
