The GRANDHOTEL SCHÖNEGG is situated in the most beautiful location, overlooking Zermatt and with a spectacular view of the famous Matterhorn.Our hotel is well known for its fine cooking and choice of wines. Our 'Gourmet-Stübli' offers an excellent choice of a la carte dishes or for our half board guests (breakfast-buffet and dinner) our chefs create a five course meal ending every day on a high point!
We have been members of the world famous hotel family 'Relais & Châteaux' for six years and our restaurant has been awarded with 14 Gault Millau points.

The hotel has its own private lift The Schönegg Express - which takes you from the town centre straight up to the reception. The Sunnegga lift and the bus stop for the Klein Matterhorn lift are within one minute's walk from the tunnel entrance; the Gornergrat train, the main station and the village centre are all within five minutes walk.
