Arosa is one of the top destinations in Switzerland and one of the highest located resorts of the Alps (1,800 m / 5,904 ft. above sea level). It lies in a sheltered basin above the Schanfigg Valley, and has one road up to it. It is the first carbon neutral ski resort as most visitors use the hourly mountain train from Chur which is conveniently connected to the intercity to Zurich.

Enter Arosa fom Chur. 200 metres on the left is a petrol station. Turn left in front of this Sandhubel Garage, follow the road dwn the hill towards and past Hotel Allegra Isla. After the sharp right bend, continue down 50 metres. You will see the Wetterweide bus shelter on the left. Opposite this, turn right into a residential no-through road. Chalet Runca is the second building on the right, with arched garage doors. Park in front of the rockery for unloading.
